Visiting the OLM Will Call…

Thursday, February 12th, 2009

All sorts of people come to the OnlineMetals warehouse in Seattle. Every visit is a welcome one!

Today, we got a visit from Erin’s Webkin elephant, Kookie.

First Kookie stopped by the Will Call desk to pick up his metal order…

Then he hung out in our shipping department for a while…

On his way out, he stopped in to say Hi to the office staff. Here he is making friends with Diogi. (I think they’re telling each other secrets.)

Thanks for coming by Kookie. We love doing business with you, and hope to see you again soon!

Norms Eatery and Ale House

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008

They’re our patrons, we’re their patrons, Sypolt’s the first to be a patron there, and we ALL love to patronize Sypolt!

What the heck am I talking about? Norm’s Eatery and Ale House. An awesome little haunt in Fremont, Washington. (Seattle neighborhood.) Good food, great people…and you can bring your DOGS!!! Too cool.

BJ, Diogi, and Bella drag OLMers there regularly…

Especially now that it’s got an outdoor eating area, with a custom fence made from OnlineMetals STEEL.

It was nice before…

But it’s gorgeous now…

Thanks to Norms for using our product at your restaurant, being a great restaurant in general, and for those of us watching the Fremont Faire Parade from behind your fence…a barrier between us and the hippies. (Said the girl in the hemp halter top next to the man in a kilt.)

Our Partners are Pet Friendly too…

Friday, June 20th, 2008

PetSugar.com rated our partner Amazon.com as one of the top 4 pet friendly places to work!

Amazon: Anywhere from 24 to 36 dogs come to work daily at the Seattle, WA, headquarters. Owners must first register their pups and agree to rules like keeping vaccines up to date and staying on a leash — unless they’re in their office, of course. ”

3 dogs come to work daily at the OnlineMetals Seattle, WA, headquarters. Pets must register their owners, and agree to keep them leashed to their desk, hard at work, and of course, fully vaccinated.

Meet BJ…

BJ (formerly BlackJack)

Office Mascot

“A lot of people think they look like their dogs, but I think dogs are cuter.”

 A little bit about BJ…

Born in 2002. Black Lab.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be? Mind Control…and X ray vision.

If I came to your home and looked in your refrigerator, what would I find?  If I had my way, not much of anything! There’d be a really full BJ belly though.

What’s your sign? “Beware of Affectionate Dog”

Worst song ever made, ever: Stray Cat Strut.

Favorite Automotive Accessory: The back seat. It’s mine.

Best thing about living in the Northwest? Way less fleas up here.

We’re proud to be a pet friendly office. Caution, dogs at work!

Meet Diogi…

Diogi

Quality Control - Lunch Division

A dog teaches patience, loyalty, and to turn around three times before lying down.

A little bit about Diogi…

Born in the spring of 2005. Lasa Apso/Shi Tsu Mix. 25lbs of fluff and snuggles.

Name is pronounced (dee oh gee). It’s the word dog, spelled out.

Can you drive a stick shift? I can fetch a stick, does that count?

What is your worst quality? I hog the bed…and the covers…and the pillow.

What’s your favorite lunch meat? Yes please!

Favorite Motivational quote:  Woof!

Favorite Automotive Accessory: The windows in my back seat.

Best thing about living in the Northwest? I can take my humans out on a hike…even let them off-leash.

We’re proud to be a pet friendly office. Caution, dogs at work!
